Over the weekend I finished a project that has been on the to-do list for a while.
We have a mini-chandelier in the master bedroom. It used to be bronze and I painted it white. White was OK for a while, but it was too cold. Yesterday I gave it the gold Rub 'n Buff treatment.
I usually apply Rubb 'n Buff with my fingers, but the little crevices needed something more. So I used an art paintbrush to get into those spots.
The gold gave the room a little more warmth which was exactly what I was hoping for.
That's what I did yesterday. What about you?

Looks great Rene!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Definitely warms it up like you wanted!
ReplyDeleteYesterday, I went through a few boxes of old momentos- stuff my mom saved from school, old letters, cards and diaries, etc. It's quite entertaining but I'm looking forward to trashing most of it. :)
it looks GORGEOUS! so much more glamorous!
ReplyDeleteLove the gold accents! Did you stencil your drapes?
ReplyDeleteHi Katie. I purchased them this way. Here is the post "How to add pinch pleats to store bought curtains". http://cottageandvine.blogspot.com/2012/10/how-to-add-pinch-pleats-to-store-bought.html
